Paperwings Art - art program for children.
ages: children 7-13 and adults | July 5th - 9th, 9am - 12pm noon | Location: Paperwings | Price: $300 or $400.00 for parent & child
Parents and children will create side by side, imagine a hero's journey of themselves, on an adventure, with their favorite monstrous friends. In this class, each student will write a magical story and illustrate it based on Maurice Sendak’s book, “Where the Wild Things Are.”
Students walk away with a 5 page, 8” x 10” illustrated, watercolor journey in a book.

What a wonderful thing… Create a colorful design to print on your own natural, hemp backpack and cold storage lunch box! Each student will draw a picture for their design, create a stencil and print it on their goods.Students walk away with a 5 page, 8” x 10” illustrated, watercolor journey in a book.
Students walk away with a washable, fabric printed, back pack, lunchbox and stencil to use!

Anime can show simple ways to create faces, expression and movement so your drawings come alive. Students will practice simple faces, ways to create expression, brush techniques, and water color painting!

ALL AGES (6-60 yrs old): 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Students will create a specific drawing/painting project each day, so that they feel creative, connected and inspired during this time. Students will experiment with line, shape and form. They will practice the natural, intuitive way of drawing while using these skills. Students will learn about color mixing, practice layering and shading with watercolor. We’ll paint flowers, fairies, bones, animals and more!
supplies needed: pencil, eraser, watercolor paper, brush (large and small), water container

Pre-teen/Teen/Young Adult: 11:15 am - 12:15 pm
Students will connect in this class… what is so needed right now. Share their ideas… mix colors together, talk about what they are creating, and what they like and don’t like. Each class, we’ll sketch a different drawing. Subjects will range from feathers to converse to aboriginal designs. Students will learn about shape, line and proportion, color, sketching and shading, and painting.
